Thoughts on singing and music

For me, singing as well as teaching and learning to sing means being in motion, in constant change. It also means constantly keeping your ears, eyes, head and all your senses open and agile. In short, to be alive. Music and art in general is inconceivable without inner and outer movement.

Individual creativity in singing means learning to recognize and develop your own individual, unique profile.

To be able to experience how a person searches for and follows their own path and matures into a singing artist is one of the most beautiful things for me. I find it very rewarding to be able to accompany and coach someone along this path for a while.

Teaching philosophy

My lessons focus on the artistic creation of a stylistically diverse musical repertoire. The basis is a solid technical structure, which is based on the individual potential and interests of the students.

The focus of my teaching is on musical and scenic interpretation, as well as promoting the flexibility of the voice and body. Sharpening self-awareness and self-reflection are of central importance.

The treatment of language and the interpretation of vocal texts are constant companions in my lessons.

In a creative dialog, the development of each singer's unique personality is encouraged in order to give individual creativity growing freedom.
